Abbie's Smile is a non-profit organization that was started in Memory of Abigeal Noel Ogle

At Abbie's Smile, we are dedicated to uplifting the lives of children by alleviating their burdens. We aim to nurture their growth and happiness.

 My name is Michelle, I am Abbie's mom.   Abbie was born on February 26, 2007. On March 3, 2007, just 5 days after she was born, I found out that Abbie was diagnosed with a rare chromosome abnormality called Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome (4P-). She had a cleft lip and cleft pallet, club feet, a whole in her heart and had to eat via feeding tube. I spent every day at the hospital, cherishing every moment I was blessed to have her in my life. Sadly, on March 21, 2007, Abbie passed away in my arms.  She was only 23 days old. I felt robbed and that I didn't get enough time.  I questioned over and over "why my baby".  From that moment my life would never be the same.  I knew that Abbie's short life had a purpose.  Although I cannot explain why a newborn baby has to die, I do know that Abbie will never be forgotten. She has made an indelible mark on my heart and on the world. I started having a "birthday party" on her 1st Birthday, and every year after that.  I donated her gifts to kids that were sick.  I thought what better way to let her legacy live on than by helping children in her memory.  Abbie has undoubtably made me a better mom to her sister Ellie and her brother Hunter.  I know she is smiling as we make a difference in the lives of other children because of her.

   I believe that every child deserves to smile. The commitment to the children we serve is unwavering as we strive to create positive changes in their lives.
